Tri-County Project Care

Casey Fitts, MD  
Dr. Fitts, in conjunction with the Charleston County Medical Society, initiated the Tri-County Project Care program. He dedicated more than a year away from his private practice to develop the program.

Dr. Fitts received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University. He completed his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and his general surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In private practice for the past ten years, Dr. Fitts will return to the practice of general surgery and will continue his work with Tri-County Project Care in the position of medical director.

Suzanne Kuppens, RN BSN
Program Director/Care Manager

As program director, Suzy devotes her day-to-day operations to making sure TCPC accomplishes its goals and objectives through team building, strategic planning and leadership. In her role as care manager, Suzy provides oversight and administrative management of enrollment and care management services for the member population. She is responsible for the development and implementation of disease management programs and also acts as a liaison between the member and other community-based agencies and providers and monitors appropriate utilization of member benefits and services.

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Suzy graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a bachelor degree in nursing. Suzy has more than 20 years of nursing experience. Her previous positions include clinical coordinator at MUSC Adult Primary Care McClennan Banks, clinical supervisor at Roper St. Francis Home Health Care, and inpatient medical surgical and intensive care nurse at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Rose Goodwater
Member Services Representative

As member services representative, Rose is responsible for client screening, enrollment, community outreach and referrals.

Rose attended the L.R. Nicholas Theological Seminary, received a bachelor degree in social work from Limestone College and received a bachelor degree of biblical counseling from Christian Theological Seminary. She received a master's degree in marriage and family counseling from Webster University. Rose is a lifetime resident of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and pastor of Ebenezer/Mt. Zion AMEC.
