Success Stories

Tri-County Project Care has provided 18 million dollars worth of health care services for more than 3,000 tri-county working poor, adult residents since 2002.

There are many success stories from our enrollees and providers alike show the difference that Tri-County Project Care makes in our community.

Susan Morris is among the hundreds of uninsured employed to benefit from TCPC services:

"Without Tri-County Project Care my children would not have a mother today," says Susan Morris, A TCPC participant. "Five years ago, I was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive stage IV breast cancer. I had no health insurance because my job didn't offer it and it was financially impossible for me to insure myself. Tri-County Project Care began coverage immediately despite my pre-existing condition and treated me like a family member. Now I'm a breast cancer survivor thanks to the excellent care I received."

Small Businesses can offer affordable health insurance to employees enhancing retention, productivity and employee satisfaction:

"TCPC is a cost effective way for the employer to provide health insurance …what won the day for us is TCPC is a proven tool to reduce the cost per individual enrollee over the course of enrollment."
Melanie Matney, Access Health

Jewel Napier is enrolled in TCPC through her employer:

"I could never insure myself. In the food and beverage industry, if you miss too much work because of an illness, you're out of a job. Now that I have a regular physician, I’m healthier and my job is more secure."
